Cheryl and Brian Case operate Heather Ridge Farm as an equestrian center, specializing in therapeutic riding for people with special needs.

Cheryl has decades of experience in all aspects of the horse industry. She spent her early years working for various horse trainers in many capacities and competed in horse shows all over the country.

In 2002, Cheryl found her life's calling while volunteering for, then accepting a staff position with, the Ray Graham Association's Hanson Center.

Cheryl continued her education at Texas A&M University College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, completing the EQUEST-TAMU therapeutic instructor training program. She is currently the only only instructor in our area to gain NARHA Advanced Certification in therapeutic riding instruction. She was awarded the American Association on Mental Retardation (AAMR) Direct Service Award and serves as a Special Olympics Certified Coach.

Cheryl was also read into the United States Congressional Record by Illinois Senator Richard Durbin for her accomplishments.

Cheryl's daughter, Cara, in addition to her full time employment, assists in the administration of, and as a weekend volunteer for, Heather Ridge Farm.
