Spring 2009

Heather Ridge Farm
Equestrian Center

Hi everyone -

It certainly seems like this winter does not want to end!  I am looking forward to seeing everyone's smiling faces in March as we kick off our Spring 2009 lesson program.

If this is the first time you are visiting our website - welcome!  This page is dedicated to give all of our clients a place to see what is happening.

We are going to start offering some exciting new things beginning this year.  Please see our services page for complete details.

If you have not contacted us yet, please do so quickly as our weekend assisted class openings are filling up quickly and are on a first come first serve basis.  We will be offering afternoon slots this year on Saturday so that should open up some more flexibility for everyone's busy schedules.

We are, as always, in serious need for week day evening and weekend volunteers.  Volunteers are what drive our program.  To learn more about becoming a volunteer with us, please contact me and I will be happy to tell you what the responsibilities are and what the benefits to you are as well.  The biggest thing I can tell you is that as long as you don't have a fear of horses, we will train you!

With spring coming, we will also be offering a new horse sponsorship program.  For more information on that, please contact me.

Shareboarding will also be offered this year.  Shareboarding means that you pay for partial care of the horse and are able to ride said horse two to three days a week dependent on what level of shareboarding you would like to sign up for.  The best part of shareboarding is that you don't have to have anything of your own, Heather Ridge provides it.  Horse ownership is quite expensive.  This lets you get the feel of what it would be like without the expense.  Please note that lessons are not included in the shareboard rate but are required in order to shareboard one of horses.

I am hoping to keep this updated on a quarterly basis.  If you have questions, as always, please don't hesitate to contact me.
